Brief Biography for Dr. Michael J. Arnold
Dr. Arnold earned his BA degree from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), Revelle College and received his Ph.D. in synthetic and mechanistic organic chemistry from the University of California, at Irvine (UCI), in 1988. Dr. Arnold has published a paper of some of his work there in the Journal of Organic Chemistry. He developed new synthetic routes to many new penicillin antibiotic family of compounds. He completed a post doctoral research fellowship at the Department of Physiology at the UCI Medical School in 1990, where he studied enzyme kinetic pathways for cytochrome P450’s.
He developed the first successful in-home-tooth-whitening system, Natural White, where the television informational advertising campaign set the records for revenue for the shows of this type in 1991. He holds over 25 patents and trademarks, including the synthesis of organic germanium, and many patents in the nutritional field, including new piruvate derivatives.
He started Arnold Laboratories as a graduate student in the mid 1980’s, and has developed his company into a diversified research and development company, with manufacturing capabilities, and market know how. He has developed skin care products, new hair rejuvination and strengthening products, oral care products, and nutritional food products, as well as served as expert consultant in these fields for many large companies.
